Jetpack locks my CaptainForm forms

It took me a while of troubleshooting to finally figure out that JetPack was, for some odd reason, locking my forms I have created using the plugin CaptainForm. I have several forms and they were all doing the same thing. When the page loaded, it would instantly turn the entire form light gray, and you could not even click inside a field to enter any information.

As soon as I deactivated JetPack, all my forms instantly started working again. Why is JetPack doing this and how can I get around it? It is pretty important that these forms function because it’s how we receive online applications, but I still want to use JetPack if possible.

How to invite subscribers with Jetpack – it’s inviting contributors instead

It seems the email subscriptions plugin I have been using for years, Subscribe2HTML is broken.

I tested Jetpack subscriptions with myself and the sent emails look ok.

I have a list of the subscribers and would like to invite them to subscribe. But I tried testing with an extra email account and the process doesn’t seem to work well.

(1) I set the role as “subscriber” when sending the invite, but the invitation says I was invited to be a “contributor.”

(2) The invitation also says there are two steps: sign in with a WP account (or create one) and then accept the invitation.

I tried the invite block on a page, and the invite widget in the right-hand menu and they properly send out invitations to subscribe. But the invite feature sends invites to be contributors rather than subscribers.

Anyway to get that working right?

How to get the subscribe block to look the same as in the draft?

When editing the page, I am choosing the subscribe block. The draft shows a nicely formatted block with a pretty Subscribe button.

But that nice format gets lost in preview, and as you can see it becomes a vanilla sort of HTML form in the final page.

How do we get it to look like in the HTML editor when adding that block?

I also tried the subscribe short-code, but the result is a bunch of extra spaces between each line in the subscribe form, not looking like the short-code docs at all.

Any hints here would be appreciated. In case it was the theme interfering I tried a bunch of different themes, but it didn’t help.

Blurry images on Photon

Publicize uses the wrong url

I use Publicize to share my posts to Twitter and Facebook. Sometimes, the url it uses for the post contains the ‘www’ subdomain, which my site does not currently support, and that breaks the post to different degrees on each site (Facebook does not read any og tags while Twitter does, but on both clicking the link gives a warning).

I expect that adding www to my SSL cert will ‘fix’ the symptoms, but I do not want Publicize inserting the subdomain anyway. Why would it be doing this (sometimes but not always), and how can I make it stop?


Switched Hosting, Changed to HTTPS, and Lost Jetpack Followers

Hi. We transferred our website from one self-hosted hosting company to another self-hosted hosting company, and also changed are URL from http:// to https://. After making the transfer and logging into our existing Jetpack account from within our Jetpack plugin on the new host, all of our Followers are gone. Did changing our URL from http:// to https:// “break” the link to our existing Jetpack ID where our followers are? Can we access our Followers before making the transfer and migrate the over? Thank you.

the initiator is: https://widgets.wp.com/notifications/?jetpack=true&v=desktop/2.4.0-13279-g67a63e0&locale=en

It takes the longest time (4.07s) and has the biggest file size (246kb) on my site!
How to disable it?

Can’t connect social account with publicize option

I’m creating a new blog website for my site, but I’m not able to connect my social accounts with publicize option in Jetpack. when I try it throws this error

500 status code for “POST /sites/160069241/publicize-connections/new”

I have already contacted my hosting provider and confirmed xmlrpc is enabled on my site. Your help would be much appreciated.

Since a few days, I cannot connect to my WP site anymore.

Already removed Jetpack and installed it again but no change. Also didn’t it help to de-activate all plug-ins when re-installing jetpack.

This is the error I get every time when Im trying to set up jet pack again:

Error Details: Unable to insert blog. Please try again or contact support.

And strange enough does the de-bugger also give an error (https://jetpack.com/support/debug/)

An unknown error has occurred.

Hope someone can help as the support is not available when you only have the free plan (Support for customers on Jetpack’s Free Plan is temporarily closed.)

Locked Out of Login Page by JetPack

Get this message as soon as I try to login. Not my IP address and it asks for an email, which I don’t trust. “Your IP address 173.254.xx.xx has been flagged for potential security violations”

I followed the instructions on Jetpack support and whitelisted my IP address but am still locked out.

Today I had a problem with my website and a restore was needed and executed.

When I configure again Jetpack, all the old statistics (more than 2 years) are lost! Just new data.

Could you please help me?

I’ve used Jetpack in the past, but uninstalled it. Switching to a theme that now requires it, but I’m getting the error “Error Details: Unable to insert blog. Please try again or contact support.” when I try to set it up.

The plugin installs and activates fine, but I get the error when I click on “Set up Jetpack.”

I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled the plugin in both the dashboard & directly from my site’s control panel and have tried a manual install with the ZIP file, but everything returns the same error. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks!

Jetpack makes my menu non clickable

I love Hemingway and find Jet pack helps my site as a beginner user.I have had to deactivate to make my menu clickable and remove a horizontal line but now my images do not look so good and I miss publize. I still get the problem if I change theme.I have rolled back both Jetpack and my theme (separately) but not made any improvement Can anyone please let me know how to solve this.I need a simple solution as I am not an experienced user.

Dear Jetpack team,

Yesterday I Got this message as soon as I try to login. Not my IP address and it asks for an email, which I don’t trust. “Your IP address has been flagged for potential security violations” I followed the instructions on Jetpack support and whitelisted my IP address . my current IP address shown is 96.125.162.42 which is of some Websitewelcome.com located in Texas. I feel my website is under a wrong IP address. I have whitelisted my IP address. I can login now, but still it shows me my current IP is of Texas location which is incorrect. I reside and operate the website from India. Please help.
