Jetpack is blocking my wordpress page access

Bonjour,

Mon site web est hébergé par OVH et depuis ce matin, Jetpack bloque mon accès à ma page de connexion WordPress : “Votre adresse IP 51.254.41.204 a été signalée pour de potentielles violations de sécurité. Vous pouvez débloquer votre formulaire de connexion en vous envoyant un lien de débloquage par e-mail”. Cependant, cette adresse IP n’est pas la mienne, elle est visiblement liée à OVH.

J’ai vu que d’autres personnes hébergées par OVH ont eu ce souci. Pouvez-vous m’aider ? Merci.

Good afternoon,

My website is hosted by OVH (French Host) and Jetpack plugin is actually blocking me. I can’t have access to my login page because Jetpack thinks my IP address made security violations. Jetpack thinks my IP address is 51.254.41.204, but that’s not mine (it’s an IP address linked to OVH).

I’ve seen that other people hosted by OVH had the same problem than me. Could you help me please ?

500 error; deactivated Jetpack, and now a Jetpack authorization error

I needed to refresh my LinkedIn connection for Publicize so I tried to do this and got a 500 error: “500 status code for “POST /sites/51513175/publicize-connections/new”. I looked up this forum and read a thread that said to deactivate Jetpack and other plugins, then reactivate. I deactivated Jetpack and wondered what would happen if I just reactivated it without deactivating other plugins. So I reactivated Jetpack but I can’t finish setting it up because I’m getting an authorization error: “Error authorizing. Page is refreshing for another attempt”. The authorization is not able to occur.

PS My host is A2. The only thing I can think of that might be relevant is that they had to migrate my server recently.

Hi. I tried to log in my wordpress website hosted by HostGator but I received message below

Jetpack has locked your site’s login page.

Your IP address 162.144.21.28 has been flagged for potential security violations. You can unlock your login by sending yourself a special link via email. Learn More

Anyone has the similar issue? I only encountered this issue few days ago. All this while it has no issue with it. Please advise.

No email notification after new post

Hi,

I published a new post today and the message appeared on the screen saying it was emailing subscribers notification of the new post. However, the emails weren’t sent. Nobody received one.

Please advise what the problem is and do I need to republish it to get the emails to send?

sitemap cannot be read error

I’ve installed jetpack sitemap but Google can’t read it. I’m not sure what to check. The only thing I noticed is that edgereporter.com/sitemap returns both sitemap.xml and sitemap_1.XML.(The latter is what I first had to submit)

Jetpack doesn’t display webp image in Chrome

I installed this plugin on my site over 12 hours. I knew Jetpack will display .webp image or not upon on the compability browser.

I use Inspect tool in Chrome to check and Chrome always show .jpg or .png image, there’s no any .webp image. I already checked “Enable site accelerator” options

Do I miss something in configuration?

I wanted to show the “Notify me of follow-up comments by email.” checkbox on my front page and other pages. I found out that there’s no supported way of doing that. Could you add this as a feature?

For the time being I changed a line in the funtion comment_subscribe_init in wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/subscriptions.php from:

if ( FALSE === has_filter( 'comment_form', 'show_subscription_checkbox' ) && 1 == get_option( 'stc_enabled', 1 ) && empty( $post->post_password ) && 'post' == get_post_type() ) {

to:

if ( FALSE === has_filter( 'comment_form', 'show_subscription_checkbox' ) && 1 == get_option( 'stc_enabled', 1 ) && empty( $post->post_password ) ) {

In time this will be overwritten of course by a new Jetpack release. So therefore my question to add this as a feature.


Jetpack broke my images

I activated Jetpack and all the images on my site broke. I’ve deactivated it and now many of the internal images work again, but the images on my home page still don’t work.

I’ve searched the forums and found old (2+ years ago) references to Photon, so I tried re-activating and disabling that, but it didn’t help. I’m scared to just delete Jetpack in case there’s a setting I need to disable first and deleting first permanently breaks things.

Please help! I need my site working asap.

I can’t enter to manage my web page, when I try to login into wordpress I get message, Jetpack has locked your site’s login page, your ip address has been flagged for potential security violations.I try to enter my Ip address into my sites-settings-security-prevent brute force login attacks and I got an unexpected error occurred, please try later…
Please help me, I’m in a hurry for updating my web page.

Recently, the message/tweet I enter in “Customize your message” before I click Publish on my posts doesn’t end up being what appears on Twitter. Instead the generic “Post Title + Link” tweet is what reaches my Twitter account. Am I doing something wrong when I publish my posts or enter my desired tweet?

Displaying site statistics

This is just one of the problems detected with Jetpack on the site onibusparaibanos.com, as I am describing calmly on separate topics.

One of them is regarding the statistics tag, which returns this message: “unknown_token: It looks like your Jetpack connection is broken. Try disconnecting from WordPress.com then reconnecting.” The screen is this: http://josivandroavelar.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/download.png

It does not return statistics on the site itself, but they are typically displayed in the WordPress.com dashboard.

I connected and disconnected the Jetpack site several times, but the problem persists.

How can it be solved? Thanks for the answers.

Recurring issues with editing and posting

The editors of the site onibusparaibanos.com report a series of problems regarding the edition and publication of the posts, namely:

2- When you click on “Publish”, the system responds that “posting failed”, as also displayed on the screen: http://josivandroavelar.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/download-2.png

3- But what really happens in this situation is that it duplicates the posts: it receives the return of the failure of publication when, in fact, the post already entered the air, at the same time that it generated a duplicate, according to the screen shown here: http://josivandroavelar.com.br/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/download-3.png

4- The generated duplicate is empty and only with the default category, this being a draft (which should have been saved and returned failed), as shown in the screens, here displayed with the address to show the posts ID (77921 and 77922). Detail that in post 77922, returns to the message “Invalid post address”. Here are the images below:

Another problem related to publishing and posting was in relation to the publication by cell phone, which generated no less than five duplicates, all of them published with the content, as shown here, in the list of sites followed. This was because in the post originally published, there was a return of an error message, but when the editor solves the problem, the post has already been published.

The problem has been identified in the posts published through WordPress.com. I have already connected and disconnected the Jetpack from the site several times, but I did not succeed and the problems continue.

What is the cause and how can the problem be solved, since in all the above cases there are problems with editing? Thanks for the answers and for the support.


Accidentally Deleted Account

I have developed a WordPress site (band site) for a friend of mine. Since they live in another state, I decided to have it hosted on a test server not knowing that there was a difference between how Jetpack is setup in localhost versus the live environment. When setting up Jetpack I had created an account with the email: webmaster@bandname.com. Everything went well, and not thinking that I couldn’t just change the URL where the account would be linked to (soon to be http://www.bandname.com) and not know that the email webmaster@bandname.com was not a live email, yet, I could not fill out the information in the form provided (proof of ownership) in order to request for the account to be brought up.

Is there anyway that this account can be re-opened, please? I promise (hope *crossing fingers) that I will be more careful in what I am doing.

“Fit” being added to background images

Whenever I activate the Image compressions, it adds a line of code to the background images specifically something like this:
style="background-image: url(https://i1.wp.com/smithpope.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/IMG_0594.jpg?fit=540%2C405&ssl=1);

That fit code on the main page in the Groom and Bride section totally destroys image quality. I’ve deactivated the Image compression for now, but I’d like to disable the background image “fit” line only, so that I can still use the compress setting for other images.

Any ideas?
