Error Details: The Jetpack server could not communicate with your site’s XML-RPC

I can’t Install Jetpack Plugin on my site (www.cinnamon-residence.com/web).

The error is ‘Error Details: The Jetpack server could not communicate with your
site’s XML-RPC URL. If you have the W3 Total Cache plugin installed, deactivate
W3 Total Cache, try to Connect to WordPress.com again, reactivate W3 Total
Cache, then clear W3 Total Cache’s cache.’

but I didn’t install W3 Total Cache. and when I reach to
http://cinnamon-residence.com/web/xmlrpc.php it’s working properly. (XML-RPC
server accepts POST requests only.)

I’ve tried to troubleshoot with only install Jetpack plugin and got no luck.
Tested with debug website (https://jetpack.com/support/debug/) and the error is
‘Unknown error. An unknown error has occurred.’ So my mind is blank now.

Please help. I’ve googled for a day and I haven’t found the solution 🙁

7.6 update results in “Jetpack.com detected an error.”

Updated two sites from 7.5.3 to 7.6 today, a live and its test site.

Both then reported “Jetpack.com detected an error.” in Debug but were working correctly before the update. They are both connected to WordPress.com by site and account.

The live site (www.) is showing this error now.

I have done some testing on the test site (http://dev.henleyherald.com/), please read this carefully:

1. Deactivated all plugins except for Jetpack – problem goes away (Your Jetpack setup looks a-okay!)

2. Activate plugins one by one – the following plugins all individually appear to result in Jetpack detecting an error:
Smart Slider 3
WP-Optimize
YOP Poll
Advanced Ads – Ad Tracking
User Role Editor (this plugin gives inconsistent results, sometimes causing the error, other times not)

3. The live www site uses Yoast (dev does not as it ‘hidden’ from Google) but this does not cause a problem (I installed it on dev, no issues, then deleted it).

4. The www site uses https and the Really Simple SSL plugin but the dev site is http. I cannot test whether Really Simple SSL is in conflict because I can’t deactivate the plugin otherwise the site stops working (and it’s a live news website). However, the Jetpack error was still detected when I deactivated all the plugins above temporarily.

5. The dev site currently has the plugins mentioned deactivated and Jetpack status is “looks a-okay!”

I’m looking for a way to add links to external pages into the title of an event within the widget. Please see https://www.jamesboyd.co.uk/calendar/ . Currently, when clicking an event, it will take you back to the homepage – I want to change this behaviour to link to an external site. Please let me know how I can do this.

Jetpack Publicize Only Working For Twitter

Hi, I am working on the updated WordPress version and also latest Jetpack.

At first Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and LinkedIn were working. All have been disconnected and reconnected in all ways possible after noticing they had stopped posting, but only Twitter still works.

I have done everything I can try going through online searches to try to find the problem but still, despite it says that FB/Tumblr/LinkedIn are connected and working, but they are not posting at all.

Hi there,

I tried many times to install Jetpack Plugin but I always have the same issue, whatever the configuration is :

The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site http://filtrescabinespeinture.com [IXR -32300: transport error: http_request_failed cURL error 28: Connection timed out after 10000 milliseconds]

I tried with a brand new installation of WordPress with no other plugin but the issue is the same.

Stats Module Inaccurate

Hello!
As of the last update, it appears the stats have become much less accurate, getting about 50% the number of recorded pageviews in JP as Google Analytics is reporting – coinciding with the date we installed the last update. Curious if others have also experienced this?

Jet pack stats from old site to new

I recently built a new site with a staging url. Once it was done enough, I cloned my main site to another url, cloned the staging site to my main url, and then deleted the staging site.

My new site on my main url is showing stats from when I published it and when I was working on it, but the jetpack stats from the previous years is gone. Wondering how I can get access to my historical data. I have sent a support ticket, but didn’t get a reply.

I’ve always sought to use only strictly-necessary cookies on my sites, to avoid cookie banners and the invasion of my visitors’ privacy.

1. If I use Jetpack analytics, can I (as admin) opt out of all non-strictly-necessary cookies on behalf of my visitors? Does Jetpack allow this?

2. Do other modules set non strictly-necessary cookies? Likewise, can they be opted-out of by an admin?

I’m using “strictly-necessary” in the GDPR sense. I have read the GDPR FAQ and the associated links, and looked around the web, but all the articles I can find seem to be focused on how to get a visitor’s consent to track. But this is the opposite of what I want — I want to switch off all possible tracking for all my (non-registered) visitors.

Allow users to log in using WordPress.com accounts

Hi, it seems every time after this plugin upgrading, the “Allow users to log in to this site using WordPress.com accounts” feature sets itself back to the default setting which is ON. I want it OFF but it keeps going back to default.

This is very annoying as I don’t want my visitors to get confused seeing the optional login. And I’d rather see the default setting to be OFF. It seems wordpress.com is being heavily promoted.

Blog stats and top posts and pages widgets not working

Hi everyone!

Since about a week or a little more the widget showing the blog statistics, and the top posts and pages widget are not working anymore. Blog stats widget (in German: Statistik) still shows 28,446 visitors, and top posts and pages (in German: Meistbesucht) still shows the same articles even they are changing from day to day.

Any help appreciated.

Jetpack only posting to 1 facebook page, disconnects when another page connects

I have tried this before and basically just had people from support telling me I was doing something wrong, or telling me that my administrator is not the one being connected to Jetpack (when I only have 1 site user, the admin)…. SOOOOO there are a lot of errors between FB/Jetpack and I need help figuring this out.

Has anyone else had problems when you connect one page to Facebook to auto-post that it disconnects your other page on your FB account? I never had a problem doing this before, and recently I am not able to connect more than 1 website at a time, so I am backlogged connecting other sites, when again, this never happened before like this and I was able to connect as many Facebook Pages as I wanted to autopost.

Now I can only post to one facebook page….

Error regenerating Post by Email address

I am trying to setup email to post on a multisite subsite which has its own domain, but can’t see why that would make any difference.

Specifically when I click create an address I get:

“Error regenerating Post by Email address. Error: post_by_email_address: Unable to regenerate the Post by Email address. Please try again later. (Status 400)”

I have Email to Post working on a test single site elsewhere.

I have temporarily removed the global firewall on outgoing connections, so that isn’t the problem.

Any ideas, as I really don’t want to deactivate Jetpack on this multisite.

JetPack ERROR prevents loading WordPress admin

Good morning

For a few days now I can’t log in to the admin back end/dashboard of my WordPress site (wp-admin), the regular site still works (https://piscinevaloispool.ca).

I regularly get emailed this error message (see below).

How can I fix this problem? The amount of memory it’s trying to allocate seems ridiculously large: 9,223,372,036,854,775,840 bytes! I believe that’s over 9 EB (Exabytes)!!!
