Paste to Gallery from URL on Mac

I have successfully pasted to a jetpack gallery from a URL on a PC w/ Firefox.

My client, OTOH, is on a Mac (lastest OS, latest Chrome Browser)- and they’re not getting the option to paste to a gallery from a URL (I had them share their desktop to be sure).

What gives?

They have the option to paste a single image to a post, but not to a gallery. And pasting from URL to post does not put the image in the media library.

We’re both on 5.1.1 using the Classic Editor.

Jetpack – widget visibility

I use the Jetpack widget visibility functionality to set appropriate content in a sidebar depending on what category the user is browsing. This works great.

But one of my categories has a large number of subcategories. I wish to set a widget as visible for the category and all subcategories. Is there a way to do this without adding all subcategories one by one?

Stats image in WP admin bar broken

Hello,
Admin-bar Stats image not showing up.
As I understood from some topics on this issue, when the webpage is created Jetpack sets the source for the image in the admin bar like this:

Then the browser performs a get for this image, but it doesn’t happen. There is no image, but only “broken image” icon, which is actually no image (right click, Save image as… is unavailable, greyed).
So it seems that this action cannot produce the stats admin bar image for some reasons. I thought it has something to do with my old theme but when new up-to-date theme was installed, the issue still remains.

Receiving Emails about Subscription

Hello. I have deleted all my website files and database from Cpanel Yesterday.

My website was hacked thats why due to yellow Pencil Plugin. My website is still offline. But i am still receiving Emails from Jetpack about user subscription. How users are subscribing if the website is not live.

Morning guys,
Hope you’re well?
I happened to subscribe to my own blog the other day (as you do!) and published a small test post this morning. The post I published was a “Link” post format, if that makes a difference.
When the email came through to me, I noticed that the link in the email to my test post was formatted:
https://willstocks.co.uk/?p=2878 – not pretty and not a URL format I’ve ever used.

The post I published had a URL configured of:
https://willstocks.co.uk/i-created-another-website/

I’m not currently using the wp.me URL shortener, so wasn’t expecting a short URL, but I was also not expecting the post ID formatted URL.

The post I published was a “Link” post format, if that makes a difference?

Is there anything I can do about this going forwards?

Jetpack cannot access my site under maintenance

Hello i am on wordpress.com and i have open jetpack. In Jetpack there is a Red bar saying this site can not be accessed. My site is currently under Maintenance. Can u tell me plz if my site is back then this issue will be resolved?

Jetpack Cookies and Consent banner leaves line on page

After clicking to accept cookies on the Jetpack Cookies and Consent banner, a thin grey line is left at the bottom of the screen which remains in the same place on the screen when the window is scrolled up. It doesn’t seem to matter in which widget area the banner is inserted, it’s always in the same place. Sorry I can’t show you it in action as I don’t want to leave this line across the website.

Jetpack Publicize Custom Message Ignored

I have two installs of WordPress and I am experiencing the same things on both sites – one is a blog, the other is a podcast site.

When I post an entry, I will ALWAYS add a custom message for sharing. I will @ Twitter users who’ve participated and add hashtags.

Sometimes it ignores my message, other times it works fine.

When it ignores the message, it uses the excerpt (as it should) on Facebook but it will truncate the URL on Twitter and not include any of my details.

I am not sure if this originated after an update, but I have not added any plugins prior to this starting. I have been noticing also that when I add tags to the post, they disappear as well – so this could all be related back to a WordPress issue?

Fatal Error When Try to Connect Jetpack

Hello,
I want to use Jetpack Premium for my multisite website, and I want to try first by connecting Free package. I am able to connect my main domain but I can’t connect my subdomain. The Browser says :

Combining two Jetpack accounts

I have two Jetpack accounts. Each connected with several of my sites. I would like to combine them into one account so that I can manage all of my plugins from one wordpress.com login.

A) is there a way to do this? I searched “combine accounts” in the forum and did not find anything.

B) if A, will I be able to save all my stats from the sites that are moving into the new account?

Subscribers not getting new email post notifications

I have a website with Jetpack that from the last post written no email post notifications has reached the list of subscribers.So far there have been no problems. And it’s an important post.
I have been investigating if there was any problem and I have debugged from the link of Jetpack’s own footer inside the page and I get a message that is correct. However if I check through this website https://jetpack.com/support/debug/ the message is Jetpack not connected.
But the statistics provided by Jetpack or other services such as galleries work without problems. And in the wordpress.com account the connection is fine.
If I delete the post and publish it again will it work? Is there any debugging method to prove that subscribers receive the message of a new post?

Hi there.

I must be missing something, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to customise ‘Related Posts’. I have done it before, and ‘Related Posts’ are working right now, it’s just that recently the title above them has changed to default ‘Related’ for no apparent reason after I had managed to write a custom heading a while ago.

All I get now is:

“Please visit a single post view to reveal the customisation options.”

Things is, I am looking at a single post view. So, what am I missing? The coffee I’m drinking right now is not helping my nerves…tastes like…um…Jet fuel.

I am using Divi, if that’s useful info.
