Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 ()

On my site woostify.com, it shows on the console log 404 error from jetpack.css file
I don’t know why it keeps getting this file from theme folder instead of the plugin folder
I’ve deactivated all plugin except for jetpack plugin and the problem was the same.
Any bits of help is appreciated!
All are in the latest version.

Scheduled Post – Sharing options

I have the latest version of wordpress with the “blocks.” After I schedule a post and I write in the jetpack sharing options excerpt I cannot go back and change it if I want. In the previous version of wordpress you could click on the sharing feature after a post was scheduled and update what you wrote. I am not able to figure out how to do that with this new wordpress framework.

Any ideas?

Jetpack site accelerator removes photos from server?

Hi,
after 7 years with my website I am close to reach the maximum amount of files permited by my server (around 270.000). If I activate Website accelerator, will this remove the images from my actual server to upload them to your CDN?

I have several blog, all working with Jetpack. One instal doesn’t work. I get ‘Error Details: The registration secrets sent by your site do not match the ones the Jetpack server has on record.’ when connecting. What does it mean?

Publicize – LinkedIn Company Pages

Hi guys,
I know this one has been requested many times (many, MANY times – https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/259) over the past five years but hasn’t really budged – is it possible to add in company pages for LinkedIn publicize?
You do it for Facebook, so why not for LinkedIn? I (and a lot of others that I know) don’t share to my personal LinkedIn page, I share to my company pages as that’s my brand!

Authors cannot see JetPack Stats

In the Jetpack Traffic Settings, I turned “ON” the ability for editors and authors to see the JetPack stats, but they are saying they cannot see them. How can this be fixed?

Dequeue styles/scripts unless is_single

Hi guys,
Just wondering – why can’t I dequeue the following scripts/styles for comment-likes as follows:

if( ! is_single() ) {
	//Jetpack
	wp_dequeue_style('jetpack_likes');
	wp_dequeue_script('postmessage');
	wp_dequeue_script('jetpack_resize');
	wp_dequeue_script('jetpack_likes_queuehandler');
}

I’ve even tried:
apply_filters ( 'wpl_is_index_disabled', TRUE );
but still no luck 🙁


Have activated Downtime Monitoring and I am getting a lot of xmlrpc hits

Hi, I activated downtime monitoring a couple days ago and I have received some 3.600 xmlrpc.php hits.

How often does Jetpack check my site is up? Does it use xmlrpc.php???

Also, when in Security settings, if I follow “configure your notifications settings” under downtime monitoring switch, it takes me to:

https://wordpress.com/settings/security/www.en-dependencia.com

with no options to set, and I get a popup message:

Something went wrong! Visit site administration page.

Any help??

Jetpack wp.me url shortener picking up old dev URL

Hello,

I am having the same issue as discussed in this forum topic (now closed):

I have moved my site from a development URL (https://padlifter-directory.com) to a live URL (https://padlifter.com).

I have a plugin Click-to-Tweet activated. It makes use of the WP short URL via Jetpack.

You can see an example of this on this URL: https://padlifter.com/free-tips-and-resources/deciding-to-list-your-place-on-airbnb/whats-the-opportunity-with-airbnb/. It will load https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?url=https://wp.me/P9nmz4-5mL&text=this%20is%20a%20test&via=padlifter&related=padlifter. It displays a short URL of https://wp.me/P9nmz4-5mL which is the same short URL from when it was on the hosting site.

I have de-activated the Jetplus plugin and then re-enabled it. I have also de-activated and re-activated my site with Jetplus. And I have also attempted both modifying existing Click-to-Tweets as well as creating new Click-to-Tweets. None of these things create a new short URL that works – it continues to use the incorrect short URL from when it was on the staging site.

Please can you advise how I am able to fix this issue.

“Disable mobile theme” not working

I am having trouble with deactivating the Jetpack mobile theme: even when I disable it, my blog still has the mobile theme on when I go to my website on my phone. Any suggestions? I have already cleared my browser cache as well.

I know there are many questions like this here, but whatever I try the blue menu keeps popping up while using mobile.

I initiated an update from Jetpack 6.8.1 -> Jetpack 6.9.

I received the following error message:

Access controls using Jetpack post by email

I’m setting up a blogging site for a group of environmental activists. They all now setup in wordpress as users and assigned the role of author. They are all learned in environmental science and wise in environmental politics, but hardly at all tech savvy. The are, however, masters of their email clients which makes the jetpack post by email option appears to be ideal. My impression is that I distribute the post by address to all those authorized by the group to post and then they can just email their blog entries and have them appear on the blogging site (or is that assumption incorrect?) My concern i what happens should someone outside the group such as a spammer gets the address. What prevents them from posting to the blog?

After updating to latest version of Jetpack, I gets below message and site got down. I also have updated PHP file version. I am not able to activate this plugin.

Blank Jetpack page with new version 5.0.3

Not sure if this is a bug or just a problem on my end, but the Jetpack page shows blank on version 5.0.3, not as in a total white page but as in nothing loads except for the footer (An automatic airline + links), header (Jetpack logo link) and in the middle the Jetpack logo image. No stats are available, only link available in the sidebar is askimet.

In the admin, when I go to Tools, Import, and click the link (WordPress) “Run Importer”
I see the following PHP notices:

So far, I have not seen the notices on any other pages.

Error connecting Jetpack to WordPress.com: Error HTTP 503

While writing a blog post, there was a notification to refresh the connection to LinkedIn. When trying to refresh the LinkedIn connection, I got this error:
Something which should never happen, happened. Sorry about that. If you try again, maybe it will work.
Error code: -32300

I found this old post, recommending to disconnect Jetpack from WordPress.com:https://wordpress.org/support/topic/jetpack-sharing-to-linkedin-not-working-error-32300/

I did this, and then clicked to reconnect Jetpack. I then get this error every time I try:
Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site https://www.chalkandmoss.com [HTTP 503]. Ask your web host if they allow connections from WordPress.com. If you need further assistance, contact Jetpack Support: http://jetpack.com/support/

I’ve followed the guide here:
https://jetpack.com/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/troubleshooting-tips/
I disabled all plugins, reactivated Jetpack plugin and tried unsuccessfully to reconnect Jetpack to WordPress.com. I then activated plugins and still couldn’t connect Jetpack.
As per step 4, I checked XMLRPC file and it displays as it should, just on one line.

I followed step 7, entering my URL into the debugger:
https://jetpack.com/support/debug/

There I get this error:
XML-RPC is not responding correctly ( 503 )
It looks like XML-RPC is not responding correctly. Please make sure XML-RPC is turned on for your site and is set up to respond to all content types. You can test this yourself by running the following command from the command line
(I don’t know how to do this)

I’m on WordPress 4.9 (my theme hasn’t been updated for a year, so I imagine it’s incompatible with 5.0 and beyond. I’m going to switch soon). I’m on Woocommerce 3.5.2.
