I have installed jetpack on my wordpress but cannot connect it.

Strangely enough, I received an email from Jetpack saying my site
was down for 20 min….I don’t understand if I cannot connect Jetpack, why then am I getting an email saying my site has been down?

here is the header of the email, is it from jetpack?

Newest Jetpack update makes post Preview not work

Thanks for fixing the white screen issue! The new update clears that up, but now, when it’s activated, post and page previews don’t seem to work. I can create a new post or page, but when I use the “Preview” button to see how it looks before publishing, it instead opens a new “Add New Post” window or (with an already published post) another edit window. When I deactivate Jetpack again, that problem resolves. This problem is consistent over all the blogs I administer that have Jetpack activated.

Apology: I originally added this at the end of the original resolved white screen topic, but then realized it should have been its own topic. Sorry about that.

Can’t see Widget Visibility or Custom CSS settings any more?

Every since the latest 4.8.x update, I can’t see any way to enable custom CSS or widget visibility? I’m running on a local dev server with the JETPACK_DEV_DEBUG constant defined in wp-config. Have these features been dropped? Is this a bug?

4.8.1 simply doesn’t work correctly for me

I was one of the many people who had an issue with the 4.8 upgrade and the white screen of death. Once the update was released I gave that a try – it installed fine, and things seemed good, but I quickly saw that the new sitemaps were completely broken for me, and the plugin did not want to “change” options at all – as in, I could not toggle any options without a “plugin not installed” error, (or some similar phrasing, forgive me my memory is a little bad on that exact phrase), basically making the plugin less useful than it should be, especially when combined with the sitemap issue which as we all know can severely affect search engine interaction with your site.

I would note that my site is running php 5.4.45, which makes it seem odd I have been experiencing any errors with the original release or this fixed version – from what I am reading of your notes the plugin *should* run fine on my setup.

I will stick with 4.7.1 of the Jetpack plugin, testing out newer releases hoping that these problems get fixed.

4.8.1 Contact form email is broken

Looks like something broke on the last update and now the emails I get when someone uses the contact form is pure HTML:

Starting with:
<!doctype html> <html xmlns=”http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml”> <body>

The rest of the email is contained in other HTML code and is barely comprehensible.

Advice?

I updated Jetpack on NeverAbortion.com and got this notice:

ty of non-object in /home/banabort/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/widget-visibility/widget-conditions.php on line 731

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/banabort/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/widget-visibility/widget-conditions.php on line 734

Notice: Undefined index: type in /home/banabort/public_html/wp-content/plugins/redux-framework/ReduxCore/framework.php on line 1240

It is onerous to contact the developers of the Redux Framework plugin; there seem to be a bunch of hoops I have to jump through to get support.

***PLEASE HELP*** Why is your updates causing problems?

After updating Jetpack two days ago, my site keep saying this:
Notice: get_currentuserinfo is deprecated since version 4.5! Use wp_get_current_user() instead. in (name of folder) wp-includes/functions.php on line 3829

All plugins are updated and WordPress is always up to day. So, if this is the problem, the message should be displayed ages ago.

Further, I have searched the whole WordPress directory and there is no “get_currentuserinfo” in it. Weird!

Any one can offer some help?

Thanks

Image (Jetpack) Widget Resizing Photos?

Hey, so I have a Footer with a text widget, and I want to display 3 images below the text. For this I originally set up three Image (Jetpack) widgets and uploaded the images to the media section, and copied the links and put them in the URL boxes of the respective Widgets. That didn’t work.

Images weren’t the same size, so I took the images (two are based on the same ‘badge’) and made sure they were the same size, and sized the third to match the height of the first two. Thinking this would make them play nice in the footer. Also incorrect.

I got the white screen of death 2 days ago after updating Jetpack Plugin. I had to delete plugin through FTP access and got my site running again.

After installing your new update, I could nok connect to wordpress.

I deleted plugin once again, but now I can install the plugin, but when I activate, I get a white screen with an error. I can access my site, but I get the error when I try to go to the admin controlpanel. The only way to get in, is to delete the plugin through FTP.

I want to use the Jetpack plugin again just like the last 2-3 years – what is happening? And what can I do?

The Jetpack update failed, and I’ve been booted to a page that reads:

Warning: require_once(/home/content/18/2026618/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/require-lib.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/18/2026618/html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/jetpack.php on line 87

This is also the page I get when I go to my wordpress login page, plus, my site is completely down as a result, so I’m pretty much stuck here. Any suggestions? The site is boysbearsandscares.com. Thanks!

I have a wp site at santiapps.com. Depending on what “kind of dashboard” I use, I get a different look. One is a black bar at the top and sidebar vs the other one which is a blue bar and sidebar which has a button on the left reading “My Sites” and “Reader”.

If I go to jetpack in the black-version, I get a button saying “Connect Jetpack” and no stats. If I go to the blue-version I get the stats and can see them all the way back to 2012.

Black-version
If I click on Connect Jetpack, I get taken to the screen where authorization is granted and the connection was made and I can return to my site. When I do though, I get the same Connect Jetpack button.

Blue-version
I can see the stats fine but when I go to Pages or Posts they don’t load. Then I go to Settings and see a few things: (a) a couple of red bars up top right saying There was an error retrieving your site settings and Make sure you Jetpack is up to date (b) and at the bottom of the Settings page a red bar saying The jetpack site is inaccessible or returned an error: server.error requested method jetpack.jsonAPI does not exist [-32601].

What is happening? My WP is 4.7.3 and Jetpack is 4.8.2. I have the 2017 theme default wordpress and I tried deactivating all plugins and still got the same errors. All I have is the Akismet plugin, WPUserOnline plugin, PaidMember subscriptions, Advanced Ads and WP Importer but its deactivated cause I only used it to export posts a while back when I moved the site from quique123.wordpress.com
