i have tried all i could to connect jetpack SHARING to my social media handle and all i get is error ..I HAVE TRIED TO DISCONNET OTHGER PLUGGINGS YET IT DOESNT WORK
I HAVE UPDATED IT AND ITS STILL DOESNT WORK PLEASE I NEED HELP

Jetpack Subscription Widget CSS Not Working

Hi,

I’ve just upgraded Jetpack to the latest 7.1.1 and I noticed there was something off with the Jatpack Subscription Widget.

My CSS not working any longer especially with Input [type=submit] button while the rest part of the widget CSS seem working just fine. No matter how I change the CSS style to the Submit button it won’t work. It kept back to the default state.

Please anyone help me.

Have related posts just show a specific post type on certain pages

Hi

Does anyone know how to have Related posts just show posts when using the shortcode and then another time when using the shortcode just show a CPT?

I understand with code snippets it is fairly easy to have it so it only displays a certain post type always, but I want to be able to have it show a certain post type depending where the usage is.

Cancelling Jetpack

Hello, I am having a hard time trying to cancel jetpack. It’s a waste of $10 a month cause I don’t even use it. I am on the page to try to manage the jetpack but it won’t let me and says, I have to be the plan owner. I don’t get why it says “You need to be the plan owner to manage this site, when I am the OWNER! Can someone please help me. This is extremely wasting my money and annoying!

I’ve been seeing this error for months in Chrome dev tools for any site that I have connected to WordPress.com via JetPack. It’s trying to load an old .png file that no longer exists on my web host. It seems to be related to unread notifications because if I visit https://wordpress.com/me it also happens there and it increments the error count when I access the unread tab.

I’ve looked all over my profile for WordPress.com and I see no where that old image file was defined as a setting of some sort. It seems like it’s coming from this code on line 77 column 22076:

I brought this up to WordPress.com support and they recommended I try contacting JetPack support. It seems this forum is the only way to do that now for free tier.

Getting spammed by Jetpack for a website that does no longer exists

I’ve been getting “website is not loading” errors for a website that I do not run anymore. It is also no longer in my lists of WordPress sites. I do not have a way of disabling this notification it has been going on for a few days…

There is also no way of contacting Jetpack since they temporarily closed their contact form, so I’m trying it here…

Image Accelerated Images Not Showing

I have accelerated site/images switched on in Jetpack, with the option for mosaic galleries enabled. WordPress & Jetpack are both updated to the latest version.

In the last week some random images are not showing in these galleries. If I try to ‘open image in new tab’ I get:
We cannot complete this request, remote server returned an unexpected status code (400)
but if I then delete
&ssl=1
from the end of the address it shows.

The images not showing seem random and it is happening to past posts that used to display correctly.

I have contacted my webhost and they have checked everything their end – it sees to be fine. They have also made sure that all WordPress & Jetpack whitelisting is in place as recommended on support pages.

Hi Guys!

I have simple question about jetpack plugin and Photon module. I’ve noticed the problems with website connected with serving images with Photon CDN. Some of them have stopped to work.

I can’t find any scheme where the problem is occurring but these are cases which I’ve noticed (I’ve placed example.com there for privacy):

Resize parameter in this URL generates Error 400. Without that the image is severed correctly.

SSL parameter generates error 400. Without that the image is severed correctly.

What does the error 400 means? There is no information in documentation about that. How can we solve this issue?

I cannot gain entry to my site as it states –
Your IP address 77.104.175.173 has been flagged for potential security violations. You can unlock your login by sending yourself a special link via email.

The IP address belongs to my hosting account, siteground, but has been flagged as a security violation.

Deleting Image CDN cache

I would like to have the following image removed from the Photon cache:

The image itself is deleted (from my website) but this link is still showing it
. It would be great if you could remove it.

Top posts not working

Top posts widget seems to have several issues:

1. Images are broken (thumbnails are plenty big enough, and are showing on the single post page)
2. Stats page on dashboard lists multiple posts, but top posts widget only showing one

Hello,

I’m trying to speed up a very, very image heavy website (~30gb of images right now, although I hope to be able to thin them out in the future) with mostly gallery posts.

Now photon promises to speed up loading time. But how does it work exactly? The CDN serves the images, alright. But when I upload new images, are they being stored on my server as well?
What about all the old images? If I’d open a post from 2017, will the images still be served by Photon? Or can it fetch only newly added images?

And how will the page/my posts behave if I decide to cancel the Jetpack-subscription one day?

I’d truly appreciate an answer to these questions as the Photon pages themselves are really quite superficial, unfortunately.

Daily CPU/Db spikes without everything off

I have a site with both heavy traffic as well as a lot of content (+100k posts & +400k images in the media gallery). I am using JetPack to allow for authors to be able to use the wp.com mobile app to author posts. Every option for JetPack in it’s settings page is turned off. However event then every morning around 10am PST the site shows a significant cpu/db spike related to JetPack activity.

Why is it still having that kind of load when we’re not using it for anything (backups, related posts, etc) / is there a way to suppress this, or if not, to be able to adjust it’s daily timers?

Blank Jetpack 7.1.1 dashboard

Hi Guys,

When updating to Jetpack 7.1.1 from 7.0.1, I get the “blank Jetpack dashboard” issue similar to the one discussed here:

The Chrome Inspector console errors are nearly identical.

Waiting and refreshing the dashboard occasionally helps, but not consistently or permanently.

When this first happened, I tried the following:

1. Deactivated all plugins: No change
2. Deactivated/reactivated Jetpack: No change
3. Uninstalled/reinstalled Jetpack 7.1.1: Seems to solve the problem — But all settings are lost, so it’s a pain.

So far this issue has happened on 4 of 7 websites, all in Jetpack Dev Mode, and all on similar environments (see below).

My Environment:

* Chrome 72 on Mac Yosemite
* WordPress 5.1 with Classic Editor installed
* Self-hosted on WP Engine
* PHP 7.2
* Jetpack 7.1.1 in Dev Mode, typically with the following modules activated:
– Carousel
– Copy Post
– Sharing
– Sitemaps
– Widget Visibility

Gutenberg button disappears in JetPack sent email

When a new post has a button and the post is published, the subsequent post notification email sent via JetPack does not display the button as it is in the post. It is there but invisible/transparent.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:
(Must have JetPack setup to email new posts)
– Create a new post with a button (make it a red button with white text)
– Publish post
– Check email to see if button appears in it.

Expected behavior:
The button does not show in the email. It’s transparent and you can’t see it.

Hello Jetpack Support Team,

I am having issues connecting Jetpack to my website again. I have already connected it once before, but after disconnecting my issues start to occur.

When I try to activate the plugin again, my entire website, dashboard, and multisite network dashboard is completely blank. The only way to solve this is by deleting jetpack from wp-content/plugins. The strange thing is that when the plugin is deleted, using the Debug Jetpack tool, it says “Could not validate security token” rather than “Jetpack not connected.”

Also deleting Jetpack has made the logo disappear and the logo option in customize disappear which is normally in Customize->Site Identity->Logo.

How can I reactivate Jetpack and use it normally again?

Site Info:
– WP 5.1
– PHP 7.1.26
– Multisite

Hello,
I am having a terrible time trying to add a ‘subscribe’ button to my blog. I would have thought this would be a standard thing on WordPress but have been advised to use Jetpack. I have downloaded the plugin and added the widget but nothing is happening on the site. I have looked into Mailchimp but I don’t want to do a newsletter – I just want a mailing list to be notified when I post a new blog entry.
Is there someone who can help me? I am really out of ideas…
