if it was caused by the theme, then wouldn't it have not worked before? i have had the same theme for awhile now, and the publicize worked for both facebook and twitter along with the theme for awhile.
Facebook recently made some changes to their policy and started being more strict; in the past, errors shown in the debugger would not cause your posts to be rejected by Facebook. Now, these errors will cause your posts to be rejected.
I also checked for any open graft tags in the source code and the only open graft tags showing for the Jetpack plugin were for twitter
If you've added the small plugin I gave you earlier, it will indeed disable Jetpack's Open Graph meta tags.
so it seems that the problem is with the jetpack plugin to me. can anyone shed some light on this?
I can't seem to access your site at the moment. It seems to be down:

http://i.wpne.ws/TLD1
Once it's back up, you can use Facebook's debugger again to find out if Facebook returns errors for your posts:
https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug
If it doesn't return any errors, then Publicize should start working again, whether you use your theme or the Jetpack plugin to generate Open Graph meta tags for your site.
