Yes I have a request into NextGen gallery as well, but as you pointed out, they have some issues with their latest release and are slammed with requests.
Hoping to get this resolved quickly as my client uses both plugins extensively. Sad part is, it's probably something super easy, yet I have poured over this code for days and can't seem to locate it.
