The WordPress dashboard is far from perfect on mobile at the moment. Some of core WordPress developers are working on making the dashboard responsive though, and you can check their progress by installing this plugin. It does improve the look of the Stats page as well.
However, we still have some progress to make. In the meantime, I would suggest that you install one of the mobile applications to get a better experience on your mobile:
